The Loud Silence

  1. The hands that cannot be shaken anymore,

Pleasantries dry up, and the smile fades away,

The eyes that could wink for direction lay closed,

Speech has diffused into thin oblivion and no one speaks,

Names are axed and ex-ed, and pronouncing them fades,

2. This house was full and fully bloomed with Life,

Alas, what ebbed away was a gift, immeasurable one,

All that was known was precious, and all that is remembered is priceless,

This treasure of that presence was the present of that value,

And this silence is soo loud and its meaning, a weight on my soul.
